Progress Report
Major site preparation has been completed on the 23-acre Laguna Palms Resort property. The land has been elevated to 12 feet BFE with over 3,800 truckloads of engineered fill, meeting coastal floodplain requirements. Key utilities—including 12KV three-phase power, municipal sewer connection, and the on-site 24” water main—have been installed to support future development.Engineering and site design work are complete, and the project is currently awaiting plat approval from Cameron County. Upon plat approval, new residents can start booking their stays.Additionally, coordination with the Texas Land Office for the removal of the decommissioned 1972 causeway has opened access for planned deep-water marina development.
